Launch of the Moroccan Foreign Trade Procedures Portal

Morocco officially launched the Moroccan Foreign Trade Procedures Portal on May 18, 2026, in Casablanca — a national platform designed to streamline, standardize, and digitalize all import-export related procedures.

Morocco officially launched the Moroccan Foreign Trade Procedures Portal on May 18, 2026, in Casablanca, during a ceremony attended by Mr. Nizar Baraka, Minister of Equipment and Water; Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Abdessamad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics; Mr. Omar Hejira, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade; Ms. Zakia Driouich, Secretary of State for Maritime Fisheries; Mr. Mustapha Farès, Director General of ANP; Mr. Fouad Brini, Chairman of Tanger Med Group; Mr. Abdellatif Amrani, Director General of ADII; Mr. Mehdi Tazi, President of CGEM; Mr. Hassan Sentissi El Idrissi, President of ASMEX; and Mr. Youssef Ahouzi, Chief Executive Officer of PORTNET S.A.

This launch marks a new milestone in Morocco’s national strategy for digital transformation, trade facilitation, and the enhancement of the country’s foreign trade competitiveness.

Designed as a convergence and coordination platform, the Moroccan Foreign Trade Procedures Portal is not intended to serve as an additional standalone system. Instead, it aims to progressively integrate the information systems of the various public administrations and institutions involved in foreign trade, providing economic operators with a more seamless, transparent, and efficient user experience.

Through this portal, businesses will benefit from simplified access to foreign trade procedures, reduced data duplication, improved information flow, enhanced tracking of administrative processes, and stronger coordination among public stakeholders.

This initiative forms part of the broader reforms undertaken by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to modernize infrastructure, strengthen national logistics performance, and reinforce Morocco’s position as a regional hub for international trade and commerce.

The launch of the portal also follows the strategic rapprochement between the National Ports Agency (ANP) and Tanger Med Port Authority (TMPA) within PORTNET. This convergence aims to strengthen the national coherence of digital foreign trade systems and support the growing evolution of trade flows across maritime, air, and land transport networks.

The Moroccan Foreign Trade Procedures Portal is intended to progressively cover all foreign trade procedures within a framework based on interoperability, transparency, and continuous service improvement for economic operators.

The implementation and operational management of the portal will be carried out by PORTNET S.A., in coordination with the relevant ministries, public administrations, institutions, and strategic partners.

The event was also marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding relating to institutional support for the strategic partnership between the National Ports Agency (ANP) and Tanger Med Port Authority (TMPA) for the benefit of PORTNET. The agreement aims to support PORTNET in deploying the portal and simplifying administrative procedures for foreign trade operators through digitalization and process integration.

A second agreement concerning the launch and operationalization of the new national portal was signed between the institutional partners to strengthen harmonization and secure interoperability between the information systems of the relevant administrations. A third partnership agreement was also signed regarding the integration of TMPA into PORTNET’s shareholding structure.

Through the launch of the Foreign Trade Procedures Portal, all stakeholders reaffirm their shared commitment to building a simpler, more efficient, more transparent, and performance-driven foreign trade ecosystem focused on innovation and national competitiveness.”
