FENIP Strengthens Cooperation with Liberia in the Fisheries Sector

As part of its strategy to strengthen partnerships across Africa, the National Federation of Seafood Processing and Valorization Industries (FENIP) took part in the National Fisheries Investment Conference, held from March 30 to 31, 2026, in Margibi County, Republic of Liberia.

During the conference, the Moroccan delegation was received by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Liberia, reflecting the strong interest given to the development of the fisheries sector and the prospects for cooperation with Morocco.

On this occasion, FENIP reaffirmed its commitment to sharing its expertise in seafood processing, value enhancement, and value chain structuring, in line with the High Orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, aimed at strengthening partnerships with brotherly and friendly African countries.

Speaking during a panel dedicated to innovation, FENIP highlighted the challenges related to project structuring within the blue economy, the strengthening of technical and financial expertise, and the development of open innovation ecosystems adapted to the African context and its specific know-how. FENIP also invited Liberian partners to take part in the Seafood4Africa initiative, a pan-African platform dedicated to promoting partnerships and structuring high-potential projects.

This mission follows the continuity of the Seafood4Africa initiative organized in Dakhla from February 4 to 6, which was notably marked by the participation of Mr. J. Cyrus Saygbe Sr., Director General of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) of Liberia.

Through this initiative, FENIP reaffirms its commitment to fostering sustainable and high-impact partnerships across the African continent.
